Telecom and Security Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Development of technical documentation
• Telecommunications design
• Firewalls: Working with firewall solutions such as Cisco ASA, Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet FortiGate, and Check Point to enforce network security policies, control traffic, and protect against unauthorized access.
• Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems (IDPS): Utilizing IDPS products like Snort, Suricata, and Cisco Firepower to monitor network traffic, detect potential security threats or policy violations, and take action to block or mitigate malicious activities.
• Virtual Private Networks (VPNs): Configuring and managing VPN solutions such as Cisco AnyConnect, OpenVPN, and Pulse Secure to establish secure and encrypted communication channels for remote access and site-to-site connectivity.
• Network Access Control (NAC): Implementing NAC solutions like Cisco ISE, Aruba ClearPass, and ForeScout CounterACT to enforce security policies, authenticate and authorize devices, and ensure compliance before granting network access
• Encryption Technologies: Utilizing encryption products and protocols such as SSL/TLS, IPsec, and PGP to secure data transmission and protect sensitive information across telecom networks.
• Security Information and Event Management (SIEM): Deploying SIEM platforms like Splunk, QRadar, and ArcSight to centralize security event logs, analyze security incidents, and generate actionable insights for proactive threat detection and response.
• Penetration Testing Tools: Using tools like Metasploit, Nmap, and Burp Suite for conducting ethical hacking and security assessments to identify vulnerabilities and weaknesses in network infrastructure.
• Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) Systems: In addition, as a telecom & security engineer, you may also be involved in the design, implementation, and maintenance of CCTV systems, which includes selecting and integrating IP-based or analog CCTV cameras, deploying Video Management Systems (VMS), designing network infrastructure, integrating with access control and alarms, exploring video analytics and AI-based solutions, and ensuring compliance with privacy regulations and ethical considerations.

Key Experiences:

• Technical Degree – Telecomm engineering or Relative disciplines (Information Systems, IT, Programming, Robotics, Chemical Engineering, Electrical).
• Knowledge and Experience in Telecom and Security min 5 years;
