• Material selection experience for piping/pipelines, valves, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, storage tanks, etc., based on process conditions

• Understanding of primary corrosion and cracking damage mechanisms

• Basic knowledge of welding processes and welding procedure qualification requirements

• Participation as SME in equipment failure investigations and root cause analysis

• Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering or related discipline (steel and alloys)

• Minimum 5 years of work experience in the Oil & Gas Industry as a Materials Engineer or in a related role

• Experience with low-temperature carbon steels, Mn and Cr-Mo steels, stainless steels, Duplex stainless steels, and Ni-based alloys

• Has intermediate understanding of SCP Agile Project Delivery Model.

• Able to apply OE Facility Design and Construction, Safe Operation, Reliability and Efficiency Elements when developing solutions for projects and processes

• Strong knowledge of international standards: ASTM, ASME, API, EN/ISO, NACE MR0175/ISO 15156
