The QHSE Engineer is responsible for implementing & maintaining the company’s Quality, Health, Safety & Environmental systems with reference to ISO 9001, 18001 and 14001 Standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure compliance with all in-house rules on health, the environment, quality and the safety of people and property in and around the project.
• To identify, control and keep up to date the legal requirements affecting the company and the plant. Coordinates the implementation of them with the relevant departments.
• Carries out regular field visits to assess the efficiency of current firefighting and safety precautions and to ensure that company’s policy and procedures are implemented by project managers, engineers, and technicians at site.
• Supervises, directs and participates in technical HSE reviews, risk assessments,hazards analysis and systems safety studies.
• Initiates and undertakes investigation into serious/major accidents to prepare the company’s official reports. Supervises analysis of causation factors on all incidents and ensures that measures are taken to prevent recurrences.
• Monitoring and measurement of quality, environmental, health & safety objectives and targets.
• Handling & investigation of non-conformances, taking corrective and preventive actions.
• Ensuring awareness and proper communication of the requirements of the IMS to all functions and levels of the organization.

• Continues improvement in the process of work.
• Ensure that all injuries, strains or illnesses suffered by the individuals – as a result of doing one’s job are reported.
• Ensure participation in safety walks, inspections, fire drills and other HSE programs such as HSE Week, HSE Committee Meetings, and Safety Talk etc.
• Represent the company / group companies for client safety meetings / Quarterly and Monthly safety walkthrough and work closely with QHSE representatives in client offices to ensure compliance with all KPI’s.
• Submission of required report/s.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, management or related field.
• NEBOSH IGC certifications.
• ADNOC approved.
• Strong verbal and written communication in English.
• Minimum six (8) years of experience in Oil and gas Industries.
• Proven QHSE professional from a highly regulated industry such Oil & Gas, Offshore Construction or related to these industries.
• Excellent and topical knowledge of Quality, Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE) Policy.
• Motivates team to work together in the most efficient manner.
• Maintains Company integrity through confidentiality and discretion.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Work in the city of Abu Dhabi (UAE).
• AED 7000 - 8000 per month.
