Sales Engineer/Territory Account Representative

This position is an external consultative sales role within the oil & gas, chemicals, pharmaceutical, power, and water industries. The role will involve selling electrical heat tracing/thermal management products, services, and projects to both end users and EPC contractors related to these industries.

Through frequent direct customer visits, this role will promote innovative solutions to both existing and new clients including end users, consultants, and other stakeholders for each opportunity.

By actively supporting the development of the country's sales strategy and its implementation this role is expected to deliver sustainable and profitable growth for Industrial Solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Meet or exceed the sales revenue targets for the region.
  • Identify projects in the Industrial Solutions market and secure strong specifications and customer relationships.
  • Maintain existing client relationships by promoting new products, services and special applications.
  • Through a consultative sales approach, deliver additional value in this market and grow scope by providing our customers with specialist solutions and turnkey services.
  • Successfully close the final contract negotiations with customers and act as an executive sponsor during the execution of projects to optimize client relationships, project revenue and profitability.
  • Actively support the development and implementation of a country-based growth plan, aligned to the regional initiatives.
  • Provide sales forecasts and activity reports. Maintain project information in CRM system, ensuring regular follow-up on all open sales prospects and quotations.
  • Promote new innovative solutions to both existing and new clients including end users, consultants, and other stakeholders via frequent direct customer visits.
  • Be a team player within the country and global organization whilst working cooperatively with other operational areas of the business to deliver outstanding results.
  • Deliver seminars, lunch, and learn at key customer groups throughout the region on a defined basis.
  • Report competitor activities, review regional threats, consider any hurdles to success, and propose an action plan to overcome.
  • Provide regular updates to the CRM database.

Requirements:

  • Qualified degree level or equivalent by experience in an Engineering discipline.
  • Highly motivated and self-driven individual focused on achieving results.
  • 7 years of experience in an external sales environment and selling turnkey solutions in the industrial sector
  • Strong market knowledge and relationships with end users/contractors associated with the oil & gas, chemicals, pharmaceutical, and power in Kazakhstan/Caspian Region.
  • Have excellent interpersonal & communication skills and be a team player within an international company
  • Ability to interpret information and produce reports
  • Demonstrable experience of using initiative and working to deadlines as well as being target driven
  • Skills in managing multiple tasks/projects along with the ability to work in a self-directed manner
  • Demonstrated skills to develop and deliver effective presentations and proposals
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate by collaborating with others to arrive at a conclusion using compromise, persuasion, and influence, rationale and diplomacy both internally and externally in a selling environment
  • Ability to use strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to present their views in a clear and compelling manner
  • Ability to develop strong relationships in the assigned account markets to assess trends/conditions, and translate these into opportunities to deliver value according to timelines given
  • English, Russian and Kazakh speaking
  • Driving license category B

Preferred:

  • Basic knowledge of electrical heat tracing or low-voltage electrical power distribution
  • Detailed knowledge of one or more of the following fields Refining, Petrochemical, Chemical processing, Power Generation, and Utilities industries
  • Experience in using Microsoft Office word processing, spreadsheet packages, preparing presentations and CRM system.
